Darwin Convention Centre Print E-mail

The new Darwin Convention Centre is set to welcome about 20 confirmed conferences and exhibitions from its opening date in June 2008 until 2011. The facility has space for 1,500 people, a 4,000m2 exhibition area for 225 booths and 12 meeting rooms. It is part of the Northern Territory’s A$1 billion (US$8.6 million) Darwin City Waterfront development. This aims to transform the capital city of the territory into a vibrant hub with restaurants, hotels, apartments, a wave lagoon, marina, gardens and public art. – Karen Yue
